History[]
The Web Slingers were created by the Stark Industries sponsored organization the Worldwide Engineering Brigade or W.E.B. in the Avengers Campus of Orange, California. The design was influenced by the Iron Wing of the Stark Expo and the superhero Spider-Man whose alter-ego Peter Parker was an engineer on the project. The vehicles were created with tech repurposed from this expo with a team including Harley Keener, Doreen Green, Lunella Lafayette, and Onome.
The Web Slingers were to be shows off at an open house where Peter's invention the Spider-Bot began replicating and destroying the facility. Peter changed into Spider-Man mode and then recruited attendees of the Open House to use the Web Slingers in Avengers Campus' underground utilidoor systems and stop the Spider-Bots.
