Vibranium is a fictional metal from Marvel Comics. It is the material for Captain America's shield, Black Panther's suit and much of Wakanda's technology.

Description[]

Vibranium is a metal of nigh-indestructibility and large kinetic potential, being able to easily store, absorb and repel large amounts of energy.

History[]

Vibranium was distributed on Earth via a meteorite which hit the African nation of Wakanda. Wakanda used the Vibranium to become technologically advanced and hide themselves away from the rest of the world. During World War 2, industrialist Howard Stark experimented with a small portion of Vibranium and created Captain America's shield. In the 2010s, Wakanda revealed itself to the outside world and would share some of their technological innovations with the likes of the Worldwide Engineering Brigade and the Avengers.
