"Fortitudo Misericordia Auctoritas" ― School credo

The Super Hero Academy or Avengers Academy is a pair of fictional schools which serves as the back-drop for Marvel Super Hero Academy on the Disney Cruise Line. This article is primarily focused on the Disney Wonder's academy.

Description[]

The Super Hero Academy was a school for training young superheroes, sponsored by Stark Industries and the Avengers with a staff made up of various superheroes. Super Hero Academy was built in a mobile bunker in the Atlantic Ocean formerly used by the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division. Various super hero artifacts could be found in the academy.

Medals with the symbols and likenesses of different heroes would be awarded to students for different advancements.. Students would be provided with meal plans, identification, and on-campus gym facilities. The school was also equipped with a connection to the artificial-intelligence F.R.I.D.A.Y. who served as a library which students could use.[2]

The school's credo was, "Fortitudo Misericordia Auctoritas", translating to, "Fortitude and Compassion Authority" and it had two main shield crests, one depicting Iron Man's arc reactor, Black Widow's logo, Captain America's shield and Spider-Man's webbing while the other depicted the Vishanti Anomaly Rue symbol from the Sanctum Sanctorum's window, Black Panther's logo, the logo for Pym Technologies, and Thor's hammer mjolnir.[3]

History[]

The Super Hero Academy was founded in the November of 2016 by Tony "Iron Man" Stark, inspired by having been assisted by young recruits in fighting off the evil HYDRA and Dr. Arnim Zola in Hong Kong, years earlier. The school was constructed in a mobile base, repurposed from an old bunker for the spy agency SHIELD. The school's opening was attended Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Black Widow. A week later, the school's opening was covered by New York City's newspaper, The Daily Bugle in a story by Robbie Robertson. Cap was quoted in the paper saying, "Learning how to be a super person before you can become a Super Hero, is one of our core values" and, "I am thrilled to have a hand in training the next generation of Super Heroes. I'm already impressed with what I've seen".
