Peter Parker is a classic vigilante super-hero, known as Spider-Man.
History[]
Background[]
Peter Parker was a teenaged student of the Midtown School of Science and Technology in New York City who got bitten by a radioactive spider, giving him spider powers. He began developing web-shooters to become the vigilante, "Spider-Man", motivated by the murder of Peter's Uncle Ben. This lead to Peter being found out by Iron Man who recruited him to be an apprentice in super-heroics, supplied with Stark tech, and become an intern for Stark Industries.
Peter's super heroics were often monitored by the newspaper The Daily Bugle whose editor-in-chief J. Jonah Jameson had a hatred for the wall-crawler. At some point, Peter began selling photographs of himself as Spider-Man to the Daily Bugle for money. Spider-Man also used his webs to vandalize Jameson's likeness.[1] In the 2010s, he appeared to have had a fight with the super-villains Rhino, Electro and the Green Goblin.[2]
At some point, Peter likely visited Washington D.C. where he may have encountered the super-villain Adrian Toomes AKA The Vulture. At another point, Peter may have travelled Europe on a school-trip. This would have included a stop to St. Mark's Basilica. This adventure may have included Peter fighting the super-villain Quentin Beck AKA, "Mysterio".[3]
Stark Expo France[]
At some point in time, Spider-Man was invited by Tony Stark to attend a Stark Expo in Paris as Spider-Man. Spider-Man was present at the expo along with superheroes Thor and Black Widow, to entertain guests in Tony Stark's absence. Here, Tony Stark presented a new Arc Reactor created in collaboration with the nation of Wakanda to be more efficiently and powerfully built with the metal vibranium.
However, the villainous Loki began using his mind altering sceptre to manipulate the superheroes into fighting one-another so that he could steal the arc reactor. While Thor was initially able to overpower Loki, this turned out to be just the precursor to a larger attack from Red Skull and HYDRA who joined forces with Loki to trade the arc reactor with Red Skull's Casket of Ancient Winters. Red Skull gave Loki the casket, allowing the trickster to freeze and incapacitate all of the superheroes present.
Red Skull subsequently betrayed Loki, only for Black Widow to contact the superhero Captain Marvel. Captain Marvel showed up and was able to overcome the casket's power, before disintegrating Red Skull much to the amazement of Spider-Man.
Global Avengers Initiative[]
After HYDRA's attack on the Stark Expo in Hong Kong around 2010, Iron Man became inspired to create the superhero outposts across the world. In the November of 2016, Spider-Man was recruited to teach web-slinging at the, "Super Hero Academy" at a repurposed S.H.I.E.L.D. base in the Atlantic Ocean. Spider-Man's involvement caused the project to be targeted by the Daily Bugle. Spider-Man also assisted Iron Man and Princess Shuri in designing the Super Hero Academy located aboard the Disney Wish.
When Stark established the Avengers Campus in Orange, California in 2019, Peter would move there as a member of the newly founded Worldwide Engineering Brigade. In W.E.B., Peter decreed his focus in developing web-shooters which would 'mirror the abilities' of Spider-Man. Inspired by the Iron Wing of the Stark Expo, Peter also worked alongside WEB members Onome, Lunella Lafayette, Harley Keener and Doreen Green to to create Project: SL1NG//R, autonomous vehicles designed for crime-fighting similar to Spider-Man.
Peter also had the solo-project of creating self-replicating, "Spider-Bots". By around the late 2010s, he took photographs of the Collector's Fortress for The Daily Bugle, with Jameson publishing a front-page story that questioned if Spider-Man was to blame for the alien invasion.[4]
The Open House Incident[]
At an open house intended to show off the Web Slinger group project, Peter awkwardly shifted to talking about his personal-project the Spider-Bots. For unknown reasons, the Spider-Bots then replicated out of control and began replicating throughout Avengers Campus which they threatened to destroy. Peter switched into his Spider-Man costume and alongside WEB's AI S.H.A.R.I.N., enlisted guests of the open-house to board Web-Slingers and assist him in stopping the robots from destroying the campus.
Peter lead the Web-Slingers through Avengers Campus' underground utilidoors to stop the Spider-Bots. This took them into the PYM Tech lab, Collector's Fortress, and Avengers Quinjet hangar while leaving a trail of webs and robot parts wherever they went. Ultimately, Spider-Man was successful but had to clean up the mess with other Spider-Bots, had spurned anger from the Wasp, got excluded from a WEB meeting at the PYM Test Kitchen arranged by Cassie Lang, and tried hiding the event from Iron Man.
Avengers Campus Paris[]
Peter was one of the super-heroes and WEB members invited to work in Avengers Campus Paris. Here, his Spider-Bots also ran amuck while he worked out of the campus' WEB facility. He attempted to assist Black Widow and Black Panther in fighting off the villainous Taskmaster, only for it to turn out that they had already chased Taskmaster off.
One night on the campus, various of his Spider-Bots escaped from the WEB facility while Spider-Man chased after them. Peter alerted Captain America's drone Redwing for assistance, and the robot assisted in tracking down one of the robots while Peter lounged on an Avengers Deployment Vehicle. Redwing eventually tracked the robot down to the PYM Kitchen and following this, it was destroyed by Captain Marvel, though an unknown rod-shaped item was left behind in the kitchen during this incident.[5]

Trivia[]
- Avengers Campus has various references to the Earth 1610 Spider-Man, Miles Morales. The Spider-Man meet 'n' greet area has artwork signed by Miles as a member of W.E.B..
- One of the common criticisms against the MCU's Spider-Man has been his personality and background being more based on Miles Morales than Peter Parker, with Miles having also been the most hyped pick for an MCU Spider-Man leading up to his integration in the films.
- Disney's rival Universal Studios created their own Spider-Man attraction The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man in 1999 which also used hybrids of physical sets and 3D projection. While using significantly less visually advanced CGI, Universal's attraction has been generally better received than that of Avengers Campus' due to its enhanced immersion, more charismatic Spider-Man, comic-book New York aesthetic, and story featuring Spider-Mans's rogues gallery rather than the commercialized Spider-Bots.
- In the comics, Spider-Bots were created by Spider-Man's reformed enemy Dr. Otto "Doctor Octopus" Octavius after he switched bodies with Peter and after absorbing his memories, became the morally-ambiguous superhero, "The Spectacular Spider-Man". Otto used the Spider-Bots to survey New York, having them transmit footage and data to his suit's lenses and phone while controlling the robots with his mind.
- This depiction of Peter Parker seems comically inept at maintaining his secret-identity. While working for a group called, "WEB", he openly works on web-shooters and as the lead on creating both Spider-Bots and the the Web-Slingers vehicles, inspired by Spider-Man's moniker.
- This could be interpreted as partially the result of the MCU's Spider-Man having first appeared in Civil War, based on a comic-book storyline which had Peter act out of his typical characterization to support Tony Stark and reveal his secret-identity on live television (resulting in his aunt being shot shortly after).
- Peter's WEB locker appears in the queue beside that of Cassie Lang and underneath of Gwen Stacy. His locker has a chemical explosion leaking from it and is decorated with a sticker of Lucky the Pizza Dog from the pizza company Lucky Dog's Pizza.
- Spider-Man's, "Amazing Friend" and X-Men member Robert "Ice-Man" Drake is referenced in the Hollywoodland meet 'n' greet area via an air-conditioning unit from Drake Cooling Ltd..
- Spider-Man's ID is PAKR-150862. PAKR is an abbreviated form of the surname Parker, 15 represents Amazing Fantasy #15 where Spider-Man made his first appearance, 08 represents the month of August which it released under (and which is Peter's birth month in the MCU), while 62 represents the year 1962 when the comic was released.
