The Sanctum Sanctorum is Doctor Strange's headquarters from Marvel Comics.

Description[]

The Sanctum Sanctorum is a magical location used as headquarters for the Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Strange. The sanctum is located at 177A Bleecker Street in New York City with a newspaper-box for The Daily Bugle newspaper outside. The sanctum is disguised as the Atlas Book Store for Rare Books and Antiquities.

  • Window of Worlds: The Window of Worlds is a large window baring the Anomaly Rue, a symbol of the ancient Vishanti which Doctor Strange uses as his logo.

Background[]

The Sanctum Sanctorum is the New York base for the Masters of the Mystic Arts. Following the death of the previous Ancient One, ownership of the sanctum fell to their successor Dr. Stephen Strange. Strange would train various young sorcerers from within the sanctum and during one class, fought off an attack from the villainous Dormammu.
