Pym Particles are a fictional substance from Marvel Comics.
Description[]
Pym Particles are a liquid material capable of growing and shrinking matter. Red Particles shrink matter while Blue Particles cause them to be enlarged. The particles are able to be stored inside of discs for projectile uses.
History[]
Pym Particles were discovered by Hank Pym of the company Pym Technologies. The particles would be used for Hank and his wife Janet to act as the superheroes, "Ant-Man" and, "The Wasp", a status which was passed on to Scott Lang and Hank's daughter Hope. Scot Lang's daughter Cassie Lang of the Worldwide Engineering Brigade came up with an idea to use it to reduce food-waste and maximize food production to make a more sustainable food system. This idea was first executed in the Pym Test Kitchen of Avengers Campus in Orange, California during the 2010s as part of Tony Stark's Global Avengers initiative.

Trivia[]
- In both the comics and the films, applying PYM Particles to food and drink would be problematic due to prolonged exposure to them sometimes causing insanity in their users.
- The Pym Particles of the MCU are inconsistent with their own world-building, being described as working by manipulating the space between atoms but also is frequently shown as allowing users to enter sub-atomic proportions. As opposed to this, in the comics the Pym Particles work by exchanging matter with the, "Kosmos" dimension.
