Odin is a Norse mythological god, also featured in the Marvel Universe.
History[]
Odin is the King of the realm Asgard which he ruled alongside his wife Frigga with whom he had a son, Thor. During his conquests of the Frost realm Jotunheim, Odin found the infant son of the Frost Giant king Laufey and adopted the child as his second son, Loki. When Thor became too arrogant and reckless, Odin had him cast to Earth to learn humility while Loki plotted to usurp the throne.
Thor foiled Loki's plans and Loki subsequently disappeared. Odin and Thor found Loki on Earth when he used the Chitauri to try and conquer the world, only to be stopped by the Avengers. Odin and Thor subsequently had Loki imprisoned within the dungeons of Asgard. After these events, Odin arranged for an exhibit on Asgardian culture to be held in the Expo Centre of Tomorrowland in California to promote peace between the realms. This exhibit was curated by Thor's lover, Dr. Jane Foster.

Trivia[]
- Marvel Super Hero Academy may reference Jane and Odin's exhibit via a poster for, "Asgard the Exhibit".
- As at the end of Thor: The Dark World, Loki is revealed to be impersonating Odin, it is possible that Tomorrowland's Asgard exhibit said to be orchestrated by Odin was actually arranged by Loki.
