King Thanos is an alternate-reality variant of Thanos from the Thanos solo run & Cosmic Ghost Rider storylines of Marvel Comics. He is a Thanos who defeated the Avengers and who is near victory in his genocidal quest. He is planned to be main-antagonist of the Multiverse Attraction.

- In the comics, King Thanos' goal is to kill life as a means of impressing the personification of Death whom he is infatuated with. He wiped out all life on Earth and as a result was sought after by Frank Castle AKA The Punisher who made deals with both Mephisto & Galactus to become the Spirit of Vengeance AND Herald to Galactus as a means of stopping King Thanos. Frank Castle then joined King Thanos' side when promised an endless supply of criminals to punish, who then went rogue and went back in time to raise Thanos as an infant in the past to try and prevent him from ever becoming the Mad Titan.
