JARVIS (Just A Rather Very Intelligent System) is Tony Stark's natural-language user interface computer system, named after Edwin Jarvis, the butler who worked for Howard Stark.

Description[]

JARVIS is an artificial-intelligence, modelled after Tony's late British butler, Edwin Jarvis. Jarvis' voice recognition was tuned to work naturally with Tony Stark's dry and sarcastic personality while having an interface resembling an orange orb matrix. Jarvis was able to be integrated into Tony Stark's Iron Man suit, a variety of buildings, and the Iron Wing vehicles.

A variant of JARVIS called, "My Jarvis" was put on the market by Stark Industries. My Jarvis came in a box-like computer and could be connected to a customer's household.

History[]

Background[]

JARVIS was created by Tony Stark in the 1980s, inspired by family butler Edwin Jarvis. Jarvis was considered to be the most advanced artificial-intelligence created designed at the time. Tony used JARVIS to work as his personal butler following the death of the real Jarvis. Years later when Tony became the superhero, "Iron Man", Jarvis was integrated into his suit and worked as a close ally.

Tomorrowland[]

Around 2013, JARVIS was integrated into the Tomorrowland Expo Center of Tomorrowland in California to show off an exhibit on Iron Man's different suits of armour.

Stark Expo[]

By the Stark Expo in Hong Kong, Stark Industries began selling the My Jarvis systems while the original Jarvis was uploaded into the Iron Wing systems. Shortly after opening, Jarvis reported that HYDRA robots where attacking Stark Tower at the Stark Expo in Hong Kong in order to steal the Arc Reactor. Tony had JARVIS pilot guests in the Iron Wing out of the way though they wound up joining the fight against HYDRA leader Arnim Zola.
