Innoventions is a defunct attraction from Disneyland's Tomorrowland. It has had multiple Marvel themed attractions.

History[]

Backstory[]

This attraction is set in the Tomorrowland Expo Center of Tomorrowland, a futurist settlement somewhere in California. Here Tomorrowland and its robotic mayor, Professor Tom Morrow, brought in multiple different groups to promote social and technological progress in Tomorrowland. Amongst these exhibits were those of Stark Industries, an exhibit on Asgard curated by Dr. Jane Foster, an exhibit on the history of Captain America, and a showcase of the V.A.U.L.T. prison.

Development history[]

Marvel connections[]

Innoventions has had multiple sections dedicated to Iron Man, Thor, Spider-Man and Captain America. These attractions included:

  • Stark Industries presents Iron Man Tech (2013–2016): Made to tie-in with Iron Man 3 (2013).
  • Thor: Treasures of Asgard (2013–2016): Made to tie-in with Thor: The Dark World (2013).
  • Captain America: The Living Legend and Symbol of Courage (2014–2015): Made to tie-in with Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014).
  • V. A. U. L. T. featuring Spider-Man (2015-2016):

Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT![]

Many props from Innoventions can be found in the Collector's Fortress in Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT!, including the animatronic head of Innoventions character Tom Morrow.[1]

Other connections[]

EPCOT[]

There was a version of Innoventions in EPCOT, hosted by Tom Morrow 2.0.

Skipper Canteen[]

Tom Morrow is the author of books in the Skipper Canteen, similar to Star-Lord.

Trivia[]

  • Innoventions was set within the Tomorrowland mythos, which also includes ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter which is connected to the Marvel parks continuity.
  • Marvel Super Hero Academy may reference the plot of Innoventions via a poster for, "Asgard the Exhibit".
  • As at the end of Thor: The Dark World, Loki is revealed to be impersonating Odin, it is possible that Tomorrowland's Asgard exhibit said to be orchestrated by Odin was actually arranged by Loki.
