Prelude[]

Events[]

Aftermath[]

Immediately after the battle, Tony Stark recommended the Avengers all go try shawarma at a local restaurant called, "Shawarma Palace" owned by a New Yorker named Jimmy. Jimmy's business boomed from this, resulting in him giving his restaurant a superhero gimmick.

Tony Stark would transform Stark Tower into the, "Avengers Tower". Odin would collaborate with Thor's girlfriend Dr. Jane Foster to create an exhibit in the Expo Centre of Tomorrowland, teaching humans about Asgardian culture in an attempt to promote peace between worlds. This exhibit also featured a bifrost portal to Asgard to meet Thor, while roughly overlapping with Malekith the Accursed's attacks on Earth and Asgard.

Appearances[]

Innoventions[]

The Battle was referenced in the history of Captain America.[1] The Battle of New York was directly referenced on the welcome sign for the, "Treasures of Asgard" exhibit arranged by Jane Foster and Odin, identifying the exhibit as being part of amendments between Asgard and Earth due to Loki's actions.[2]

Iron Man Experience[]

The Battle of New York isn't directly referenced in the timeline on Stark's past, however the attraction seems to take place after the formation of the Avengers and the timeline makes note of Tony Stark switching New York's stark power to Arc reactor energy along with getting a distinguished service medal from the military.[3]

Trivia[]

  • The events of the Battle of New York serve as a rough parallel to the events of Avengers Volume 1 #1 in-which Loki attempted to manipulate the Hulk into killing Thor, inadvertently causing Hulk's sidekick Rick Jones to try calling the Fantastic Four only for Iron Man, Ant-Man and the Wasp to answer the call instead, forming the Avengers.
    • Rick Jones, Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne were not present in the MCU's Avengers formation. Likewise, Captain America, the Chitauri, Black Widow, Hawkeye and Nick Fury were not involved in the comic's series of events.
  • The Chitauri are not from the mainstream Marvel universe, instead coming from Earth 1610 AKA "The Ultimate Universe" which the MCU often took influence from, in which they were said continuity's counterpart to the Skrulls (a classic alien enemy to the Fantastic Four).
