- In the comics, Barton used the Green Goblin persona due to being psychiatrist of Green Goblin Harry Osborn whom he tried pinning his crimes on. He was murdered by Harry shortly after. How much of this remains true in W.E.B. of Spider-Man's continuity is unknown.
