Baron Helmut Zemo is a classic supervillain enemy of Captain America and the Avengers from Marvel comics. In the comics, he is the second incarnation of Baron Zemo, with the first having been his father Baron Heinrich Zemo who like Helmut was a disfigured aristocratic Nazi mad-scientist, prominent member of HYDRA, and leader of the Avengers' villainous counterparts The Masters of Evil (though unlike his father, Helmut founded the supervillain team, "The Thunderbolts" which posed as superheroes as part of a greater scheme). In the MCU, he was sanitized into a nobleman of Sokovia, who blamed the Avengers for it being destroyed by Ultron.

Trivia[]
- Captain America: Civil War which Zemo was main-antagonist of appears to be (at least mostly) non-canonical to the theme-park continuity. Due to this, the extent of cannon between iterations of Zemo in the parks is unknown.
- It is unknown if Zemo killed King T'Chaka of Wakanda as he did in the films, or if T'Chaka was killed by Ulysses "Klaw" Klaue as he is in the comics and most continuities.
