The Avengers Assemble!, also known as Avengers Headquarters, is a stunt show in Avengers Campus.

History[]

Backstory[]

The Avengers are active from a base in Avengers Campus which is frequently put under attack by super-villains, here led by the Taskmaster. Guests can watch the superheroes fend off these enemies.

Development history[]

The stunt show was first announced in 2020 with the main villain being revealed to be Taskmaster, making their debut ahead of the Black Widow film (who was also featured there as an antagonist).

For the show's first three weeks when it first opened with Avengers Campus on June 4th, 2021, Black Widow and Captain America initially appeared with face masks due to the Disneyland Resort's COVID-19 mandate following reopening on April 30th, 2021, in compliance with California's health mandate.

Following the announcement for face masks to be made optional outdoors for fully vaccinated Cast Members starting on June 26, 2021, Black Widow and Captain America began to appear in the show without face masks.

Starting with the 2021 Holiday season, a holiday variation of the show with Hawkeye and Kate Bishop was introduced to coincide with the premiere of the Hawkeye limited series on Disney+.

Summary[]

There are two versions of the stunt show: one features Black Panther, the other features Captain America.

The stunt show opens with two enemies infiltrating Avengers Campus and attempting to steal cargo from the quinjet (the Wakandan vibranium in the Black Panther version or the Arc Reactor in the Captain America version). Black Widow, after scaling the building down, gets into a scuffle with them. It is discovered that they worked for Taskmaster, who joins the fray and proves to be no match for Black Widow. It is following Tony Stark calling for backup that a fellow Avenger it sent out to fight the Taskmaster with Black Widow: one version features Black Panther as Taskmaster fights him with a copied version of his retractable claws, the other version features Captain America as Taskmaster fights him with a copied version of his shield. In both versions, both Black Widow and her fellow Avenger successfully stop Taskmaster from stealing the cargo.

The show itself concludes with Taskmaster absconding following their defeat, but with their lackies left behind and taken away by Black Widow and her fellow Avenger.
