History[]

Origins[]

The Avengers were formed as a program to unite exceptional individuals organized by Nick Fury, director of SHIELD, inspired by his friendship with Carol "Avenger" Danvers AKA Captain Marvel. The team was formed in 2011 when the Norse god Loki stole SHIELD's Tesseract, a Cosmic Cube of Asgardian origin and great power. Fury united Captain America, Iron Man, and Dr. Bruce Banner while Black Widow and Hawkeye were already working for SHIELD. Thor later crossed paths with SHEILD and joined the Avengers in pursuit of his brother.

Conflict escalated when Loki used the Cosmic Cube to open up a portal to space over the Stark Tower in New York City. This portal brought forth the Chitauri, an army of alien soldiers who followed Loki's alien ally, Thanos. The Avengers were able to defeat Loki, and send him along with the Tesseract back to Asgard to be contained. This event in history became known as the Battle of New York.

Battle of Sokovia[]

In his efforts to protect humanity, Tony Stark engineered a fascist artificial-intelligence called, "Ultron". This robot turned evil almost immediately and made its base in the Eastern European nation of Sokovia. Here, Ultron replicated into an army of robots which tried to save the world by wiping out humanity, lifting Sokovia's capitol into the sky to use as a meteor impactor. The Avengers were able to foil Ultron's plans and defeat the robots though it devastated the country.

Global Avengers Initiative[]

By 2016, Tony Stark started the Global Avengers Initiative to create Avengers outposts across the world and train a new generation of hero. This was inspired by an attack on the Stark Expo of Hong Kong where HYDRA scientist Dr, Arnim Zola used a legion of robots to attempt stealing tech from SHIELD and Stark Industries. Amongst these were the, "Super Hero Academy" school for young superheroes based out of a mobile-base of the Atlantic Ocean, repurposed from an old SHIELD base.[1] The school opened the November of 2016 with Iron Man having attented the opening alongside Captain America, Spider-Man, and Black Widow.

Avengers Campus California[]

Starting the late August of 2019, Tony would next transform his father's old Industrial Complex in Orange, California into the first, "Avengers Campus".[2] Tony would found an organization for young engineers called the Worldwide Engineering Brigade which made their base here, within an old Stark Motors building previously used by Tony's father. Stark also brought in those from the nation of Wakanda, PYM Tech, and allowed for the fortress of the alien collector Taneleer Tivan to station themselves on the land.

The Campus would be prone to attacks from villains such as the Taskmaster, Death Dealer, and the Tracksuit Mafia whom the Avengers fought off. Thor's brother Loki was also frequently found around the campus, typically alongside Thor or the Time Variance Authority. Around Halloween time, the villainous bogeyman, "Oogie Boogie" also summoned the sorceress Agatha Harkness and a zombified Captain America from another reality,

Avengers Campus Paris[]

While the California base was being run, Tony was setting up a new outpost in Paris, France which he asked Wasp for assistance in creating. Leading up to the opening, Stark collaborated with Black Panther's sister, Princess Shuri of Wakanda and the Wakanda Design Group to engineer the Vibranium-powered Avengers Deployment Vehicles.
