Development history[]
The book is a tribute to the defunct attraction The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror which Mission: BREAKOUT! replaced in Disney California Adventure. The title of the book references how in the attraction, elevators headed for the top floor of the Hollywood Tower Hotel found themselves in the 5th Dimension while the book's font imitates the title of the ride.
